This past weekend Portland hosted the International Quilt Market… It’s a trade-only market, designers are showcasing their new fabric collections, and my friend Mo Bedell had a beautiful, award-winning booth, showing her newest line with Andover, Full Moon Lagoon. Mo recently presented her collection to the Portland Modern Quilt Guild group, and she spoke passionately about her time living in Hawaii, and the sensory overload of that experience which influenced her collection. Really inspiring! I think if you ask any creative person, they are deeply inspired by their surroundings, I know it constantly inspires my work! PMQG posted this inspiring video about story-telling through fabric design, have a look!
